As I'm sure most people reading this already know, Nicaragua has been devastated by back-to-back hurricanes. First Eta hit followed by Iota shortly after.

Many parts of the country have been completely destroyed. Especially on the Caribbean coast.

Iota hit our local community of Popoyo pretty hard. Guasacate beach and Las Salinas have been severely damaged in some parts. We're asking that everyone do our part and help our friends and neighbors in Nicaragua.

Here are some photos so you can see for yourself.

If you can spare any money please donate to the ANF hurricane relief fund. This will be used across all of the country for the many communities that need the help.

If you want to support the local Popoyo community specifically please donate to this Go Fund Me page.

If you're in Nicaragua and can spare clothes, water, canned foods, grains, use of your Truck, or just some time it would be extremely appreciated! Please email me at peter@colonialsanmartin.com and I will get you in touch with the right people in the area you wish to help.

Every little bit counts. Thank you!

Luckily our community is not in a flood prone area and we have slight elevation that helps drain the water. Plus inside the community we have dug drainage throughout so the our little corner of the coast is OK. We just have the usual heavy rain clean up to do. Of course, this is the least of our worries at the moment.

Again, please help with whatever you can offer. We all really appreciate it!
